Damned either way

When a friendly hand has been extended but you still get slapped; it leaves you confused, not knowing if you should reach out or hold back. What's the braver move accepting that you need help or solving the problem alone? A catch 22, damned if you do, damned if you don't. Nothing you do will ever be right, but you didn't set out to be wrong. This is why silence is your safe place. Why speak, for your words to be sharpened as weapons against you.
